Printing house «Parus» LLC constantly cares about compliance with safety at work, as required by regulations: Article 40 of the Civil Protection Code of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on June 26, 2013 № 444 «On approval of the training of population in emergencies. In order to improve the level of employees training on fire safety measures and verification of knowledge of fire safety (Fire Safety Minimum) of our employees, as well as to acquire the ability of employees in case of need to act correctly, quickly, consistently and decisively, the company’s management together with the personnel of the 47-DPRPP Glevakha held October 22, 2021 practical training in the territory of Printing house «Parus» LLC in the village Roslavichy.

During the training, the practical evacuation of employees from their workplaces was practiced — all 100% employees left their workplaces in 40 seconds and gathered at the assembly point — the checkpoint, where the direct heads of the structural units checked the availability of people. The result — 100% of employees evacuated.

Accomplished goals:

  • workers evacuated from production and other facilities in an orderly manner without panic or injury;
  • the organization of evacuation management on the part of the leaders was clear and thoughtful;
  • the fire alarm and notification systems worked 100%, the doors of the evacuation exits opened without interference;
  • direction of movement to the evacuation routes and exits were marked with appropriate safety signs according to GOST 12.4.026-76 and the amendments made to it DSTU ISO 6309:2007.

Assessment of readiness for the training period «satisfactory».

The next stage of the exercise was extinguishing the fire with primary fire extinguishing equipment.

  • The Chief of the 47-DPRP 7-DPRP civil protection service captain Ruslan GRIGORENKO gave a briefing on the use of fire extinguishers (carbon dioxide and powder) and peculiarities of their use, and answered employees’ questions. After that, 100% of employees tried in practice to use fire extinguishers. As a result, all coped with the task. The mistakes were pointed out immediately to each personally, the most typical of them: the distance to the fire — up to one meter, depending on the intensity of the flame, how to hold a fire extinguisher during extinguishing — do not turn horizontally and do not take the carbon dioxide extinguisher by the nozzle.
  • After that, firefighters extinguished the imaginary fire with water, using a special vehicle and a fire department.
  • At the end of the exercise, the rescuers held a briefing with employees, where they reminded them of fire safety requirements, emphasizing the prohibition of burning dry vegetation and describing the correct actions during the detection of fire elements. Afterwards, the rescuers answered questions and summarized the results.

The exercises also included a thorough inspection of electrical facilities: primary firefighting equipment, availability of automatic fire alarms, outdoor water supply, checking the pressure in the outdoor fire water line by practical connection, the condition of buildings, outdoor installations, etc. Necessary documentation in the institution and knowledge on the observance of measures for safe work by employees were also checked. According to the results of the event, representatives of the State Emergency Situations Service pointed out the urgent issues of fire safety at the facility and provided professional assistance on how to quickly and efficiently eliminate certain deficiencies.
